Megan Cheatham Becomes All Time Assist Leader at Berry College (Fall 2010)
Congratulations to McIntosh 06 Alum, Megan Cheatham, who, as a senior at Berry College set the all time assist record for the Lady Vikings! Cheatham was a standout setter here at MHS during her career and we are so proud of her and her continued success at the collegiate level. Way to go Megan!

"It was really appropriate that Megan set her own personal best and
set the Berry career assist record this weekend," said Berry head coach
Mika Robinson. "She did an excellent job running our offense and
putting our hitters in good positions to score. She has had a
tremendous senior year."
Cheatham came into the match
against LaGrange with 2,500 career assists and needed just four assists
to become the school's all-time leader in that department. The senior
from Peachtree City, Ga. did more than that and tallied 22 assists
total in the match."
Leigh Moyer Voted Most Improved (Fall 2008)
Congratulations to McIntosh 08 Alum, Leigh Moyer who was voted by her team mates as the "Most Improved" player on the University of Alabama's women's volleyball team. Leigh was recognized at the team's banquet for her hard work and consistent improvement throughout the Crimson Tide's 08 season. Way to go Leigh we're so proud of you!
Homecoming Queen (2008)
Congratulations to McIntosh Volleyball Alum, Abbey Muetzel who was crowned Homecoming Queen at Valdosta State University!
Abbey
Muetzel, McIntosh Class of 2005, was announced as the 2008 Valdosta
State Homecoming Queen. Abbey is a senior and Dean's List Student
majoring in Early Childhood Education, an officer in Chi Omega, active
in campus activities and former Employee of the Year at the
University’s Rec Center.
The
former captain of the McIntosh Volleyball Team was escorted to the
50-yard line at halftime by her mother, Alice Muetzel and welcomed
there by University President, Dr. Patrick J. Schloss.
Freshmen of the Year (2008)
Congratulations 2008 MHS graduate Elyse Chubb who was named Southern Conference Freshmen of the Year!

College of Charleston Freshman middle blocker Elyse Chubb (Peachtree City, Ga.) was named Southern Conference Freshman of the
Year, Second-Team All-Conference and earned a berth on the All-Freshman
team... at the Southern Conference banquet
Thursday, November 20.
Elyse Chubb has been one of the most dominant players in the league in 2008 as she
leads both the Cougars and the Southern Conference with a .377 hitting
percentage and 1.50 blocks per set and also adds an average of 2.59
kills. She has also made her mark on the NCAA National Rankings, coming
in at 28th in hitting percentage and 33rd in blocks. Following a
weekend that included a conference-high .765 hitting percentage against
Western Carolina and an overall mark of .656 with nine blocks, Chubb
was named the Player of the Week for the week ending November 16.
